SITUATION

With the introduction of each successive ZCS Coding software update (IDC 07 02 96) comes increasing control module customizing choices (car memory) for the customer to consider. The purpose of this bulletin is to list these choices found in the DIS ZCS Coding software under Conversion. The customer should be made aware of these choices when the vehicle is ordered and the changes can be made by the BMW Center service department during the QC 1. Vehicle individualization is not reimbursable under warranty. Individualizing your customer's vehicle is an important contribution to a positive customer experience This bulletin will be updated as new custom configuration options become available. Bold chart configurations denote default values (values that the vehicle was delivered with).

Attached is a form which may be used during the delivery process.

Anti-theft Alarm system Arming & disarming 1-via the remotecontrol and door lock 2-via the remote control only Add or delete the ability to arm and disarm the anti-theft alarm via the door lock.

Heat/AC-IHKA Temperature C/F 1-Celsius 2-Fahrenheit Change the heat and A/C temperature display read-out to Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Heat/AC-IHKA Blower enhancement 1-maximum 2-medium 3-low Changes the upper threshold of the blower speed (in Auto setting) to a higher or lower speed.
Heat/AC-IHKA Air recirculation 1-Storage of air recirculation setting 2-Non-storage Allows the heat and A/C system to remember the air recirculation setting after the key is cycled off and on.
Board Computer-BC Temperature C/F 1-Celsius 2-Fahrenheit Change the on-board computer temperature display to Celsius or Fahrenheit.

On-board Monitor Adjust background lighting 1-Original 2-Brighter Brighten the background lighting of the navigation monitor.

Instrument Cluster- IKE Temperature C/F 1-Celsius 2-Fahrenheit Changes the instrument cluster temperature display to Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Instrument Cluster- IKE Language 1-English 2-French 3-Italian 4-Spanish 5-German Changes the display language of the instrument cluster and the navigation system (if equipped). Starting with 9/97 production date, vehicles equipped with navigation can also change the gender of the voice to male or female. Refer to (bulletin 84 01 98) for complete details.
