Erroneous Display In LCD Display Module
SITUATION
After switching the ignition ON, flashing and illegible displays may alternately appear in the LCD Display Module.
CAUSE
Interference from the IHKR/IHKA coolant pump.
CORRECTION
Replace the coolant pump with one equipped with a protective diode.
These pumps have a production date of 279 or later.
Explanation of production date code: 279 week 27 of year 198(9)
For example, a date code of 060 indicates a production date of week (06) of the year 199(0).
